Wolfgang Mock's latest product sets a new standard in design, price and performance for fresh oatmeal and beyond.Flake grinders are commonly used to turn oat groats into oat flakes, but most types of wheat can also be flaked. Oats are full of important vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. It is also high in fibre and protein compared to other cereals. The flake mill can produce about 100 g of fresh flakes per minute at the touch of a button. To give you an idea, it takes about 2 minutes to get half a cup of oatmeal, which is enough for about 2 portions of porridge. The flaking is relatively quiet. The two stainless steel rollers crush the cereal with ease. The body of the grinder may look like plastic, but it is made of Arboblend®, a bio-material made from renewable raw materials. The flake mill is therefore high-quality, innovative and sustainable at the same time!

From which ingredients can the flakes be obtained?
Most often you can get flakes from whole oat groats, but with the right hydration you can also get them from most types of wheat (spelt, rye, emmer). Mixing different varieties of wheat will give you the best muesli.Some pseudo-cereals such as buckwheat and quinoa can also be flaked, but often do not flake well due to size or yield differences.

Which ingredients cannot be flaked?
Corn (too big), pumpkin seeds (too big), nuts such as almonds, peanutscashews (too oily), coffee, legumes (too big), rice and millet (very dry).
